One project that's been on our radar for a long while now is the Eli Roth produced possession film Cotton. Now that the first few images of the film have oozed out of AFM, we're even more stoked!
Synopsis

A letter from Louis, a poor farmer begging Cotton's help in driving the devil off his land, gives Cotton the perfect opportunity to expose the phoniness of his ministry. But then he meets Louis' disturbed young daughter, Nell ...

A Day in the Life of Martha Stewart
Tune into ABC News - Nightline on November 19 when Cynthia McFadden from ABC shares the day in the life of Martha.
Martha has recently been featuring 'day in the life' entries on her own blog and recently shared through Twitter and her blog entry for today that ABC was filming for the Nightline feature.
Nightline, the late night ABC news show airs following local 11pm news in most major markets. Check your local listings for specific air times.

Jeff Zucker to take charge of the NBC/GE/Universal/Comcast clusterfuck
NEW YORK -- Comcast and GE have agreed to make NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker the head of their proposed joint venture, but the structure of a new board is still being negotiated, sources familiar with the matter said.
The two sides have been in talks to reach a deal that would give Comcast a 51% stake in the NBC Universal venture, which would also house the cable networks now belonging to Comcast. They recently agreed to value NBC Universal at about $30 billion, sources previously told Reuters.
Under the terms being discussed, Zucker will lead the new entity, with no clauses for him to leave after a specific period, the sources said Tuesday. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the details have not been made public.
As part of the proposal, NBC Universal would become a joint venture, 51% owned by Comcast and 49% by GE. Comcast would contribute around $4 billion to $6 billion in cash, as well as its collection of cable networks to pay for its stake.

The off-screen romance rumors of Cory Monteith and Lea Michele has escalated this week to a full frenzy. The adorably cozy twosome continue to fuel that fire as they dodge dating rumors instead of denying them. There have been rumored sightings of them together all over town and just last month the paps caught them leaving a Broadway show together. Costar Mark Salling, in the new issue of OK! Magazine, jokingly credits the pair's great chemistry to "hormones." FOX's comedy-musical series "Glee" witnesses Cory Monteith portraying the character of Finn Hudson, a popular high school quarterback with movie star looks and a Motown voice who must protect his cool reputation with his holier-than-thou girlfriend. Lea, meanwhile, stars as Rachel Berry, a perfectionist firecracker who is convinced show choir is her ticket to stardom.

ABC has decided not to order additional episodes of its new Wednesday-night drama "Eastwick," which is about as close as a network gets to saying it's canceling a show these days.
While much of ABC's Wednesday night has been a pleasant surprise with "The Middle," "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" all getting full-season pickups, "Eastwick" has been pulling in Jay Leno-like numbers at 10 p.m., often averaging less than 5 million viewers. The show, which stars Rebecca Romijn and Lindsey Price, is based on the John Updike book. While it spawned a moderately successful movie, this is the third time an attempt to make a TV series based on the book has fallen short.
The other Wednesday night ABC show whose fate is up in the air is the 8 p.m. sitcom "Hank," starring Kelsey Grammer. "Hank" has also been an under-performer and will likely not have any additional episodes ordered.
ABC did give its Tuesday freshman drama "The Forgotten" some good news and ordered five more episodes. That's a network's way of saying we sort of like you, but we're not sure how much.

i love the forgotten so i'm glad it was given a few more episodes. i'm still not sure how i felt on eastwick each episode left me asking if i liked the episode or not.

With the economy in a crunch, American Idol creator and 19 Recordings bigwig Simon Fuller has dusted off his thinking cap and is sending Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta on the stage together once more. Records don’t just sell themselves these days, after all.
Ryan Seacrest announced the Ryan, Rock My Town contest this morning, wherein fans of the Season 8 Idol finalists basically have to go to demand that the threesome come play a gig on their turf. The city with the most requests wins the concert. (In other words, Adam Lambert theoretically could play in Peoria.) That said, the demanding doesn’t really involve much more than typing in your zip code.
At any rate, the 2009 Idol Summer Tour wrapped September 15. So this could be the last time you see these three together again. Ever.

So this afternoon along with a selected handful of critics, YN got to sit in Antonio Reid’s plush office and listen to Ri-Ri’s new album out of his Genelec Speakers. My BB and Iphone stayed in my pockets and I had to go hand-to-hand with my notes. So forgive me if the future proves my observations wrong. Here we go.

Sad news for Celine Dion, who in August was reported to be pregnant with an embryo that had been frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past eight years. Dion, 41, had embryos frozen for in-vitro fertilization while trying to conceive her first child, Rene-Charles, now 8.
Celine is no longer expecting, In Touch Weekly reports:
In unfortunate news for Celine Dion and her husband Rene Angelil, the singer is no longer pregnant, a source close to the family tells In Touch. "While she and Rene are actively trying for a baby, she is not currently expecting," the friend says. In August, a rep for the "My Heart Will Go On" star confirmed her pregnancy, while reports surfaced that she used fertility treatments to expand her family. Celine and Rene have an 8-year-old son, Rene-Charles.

How reliable is In Touch?
Fans of Chuck, prepare to be transported to Nerd-vana.
Following the casting of Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula as Chuck’s dad, sources confirm to me exclusively that another sci-fi icon has been tapped for the show. Robert Patrick, a.k.a. the T-1000, is slated to appear midway through the third season.
But rather than coming from the future, Patrick will play Col. Keller, a mysterious figure from Casey’s past in “Chuck Versus the Tic Tac,” which I hear will be a big episode for Adam Baldwin’s newly-minted colonel.
Sadly for all you Buy More shoppers, there’s still no definitive news on Chuck’s return date. (Additional reporting by Keith Staskiewicz)

Count Dina Lohan among those sickened by this type of behavior.
While Michael Lohan continues his near daily release of embarrassing and hitherto private phone call recordings in a misguided, press-hungry bid to shame his daughter into recovery, Lindsay Lohan's mother is finally speaking out about his despicable tactics.
"The tapes were from a long time ago, and for a father to stoop this low is unforgivable," she tells E! News, before imploring people to consider the source.
"My ex-husband has been in and out of jail for 10 years. My children and I gave him a chance to get to know them again, and he clearly blew that chance!"
We'll say. And while Dina, along with Lindsay and Lindsay's former assistant, are among those threatening legal action against Michael for his leaky ways, she also says that he should never have had the opportunity—or the access—to record phone calls like the one involving Heath Ledger in the first place.
"I have had a criminal order of protection from the domestic violence sector since 2005," she says, adding that the order extends through 2011. "He was not supposed to even be harassing me by phone."
"My heart is breaking for my children that he could do this. He has no visitation anymore and is six months behind in child support. The authorities have been alerted!"
